Project Title : Fleet Place Enhancements

Contract Value: £170,000

Contract Period: Nov ’09- Apr ’10

The objective of the scheme was to open up the existing pedestrian plaza to give rise to improved access, seating and sight lines around the site.

The site had to remain open to the public throughout the duration of the works.

Works included extending existing granite steps, building a retaining wall that was clad in polished granite to match existing stone. Other works included extending the paved areas and supplying and installing benches, hand rails and railings.

Soft landscaping – The topsoil was replaced and the drainage improved. Some existing plant stock was lifted and replanted in new positions and new stock was supplied and planted.
