The Ace of Spades Garden – RHS Silver Gilt Medal

The centrepiece of this garden is a Harley Davidson, which takes pride of place next to a large sunken decked area shaped like a giant ace of spades. The Ace of Spades was also featured in the form of a garden art sculpture which was created in old garden spade heads. Bike parts, oil drums, old tyres and memorabilia are woven into the garden. The planting scheme is dark and dramatic, adding to the hard, urban feel of this very masculine retreat.
